retracting blogger diss/NYC

so i guess they are in order (see last post)....hahaha.....anyways on tuesday stephanie, lindsay, their roomate kim and i worked at a dining for darfur fundraising event. it was a beautiful room in the puck building with over 400 wines and food from 4 different (awesome) restaurants. we only had to work for an hour or so and then we were given free reign on the goods. i learned some things about wine, correctly identified 'smooth', 'smokey' and what i like to call 'juvenile' notes, and generally enjoyed myself with a few of my favorite ladies. i wish we had more gigs like that, as i'm happy to attend, work a bit and all, but not quite ready to pay $125 for a ticket.

clarifications

so blogger is a nice service, but they do leave something to be desired. i tried EVERYTHING to get my posts to order by date (you will notice they are not) but i am giving up. i am in nyc right now (i was in seattle last week) and i'm leaving tomorrow for scotland. i have just been working every day, both for my real job and on a paper for an audio interaction conference next month. it's due today but is not yet done, but since it's already been accepted perhaps they will give me some leeway. i've just spent all morning dealing with the nightmere of usps, fedex & ups sending back all the packages i had mailed here over the week because the apartment manager doesn't accept anything for names not on a lease. my contacts, health insurance papers, paycheck & webcam are all milling about the country, somehow untraceable. nobody seems to know where they are but everyone gives me a different answer. AAAHHH. anyways back to work for me.

nyc: la una

well i have arrived again. i sure dig the cloudy weather...the cars drivin out there sound like there might be water on the ground although i can't hear any rain - that seems reasonable though. i shouldn't be tired - it's only 9 - but i have a really strong desire to go to bed right now. luckily my computer is about to die and my cord is being guarded by a sleeping lindsay so i only have so much time to not waste. can't figure out the tv either, also a good thing. same tv here as in sd. nothing too noteworthy about the journey but it has been very nice here at the destination. don't tell anyone.
